Day 274 – Week 40 – 40 mins (40)

Ok….I fell completely off the wagon. For several days.

I guess it had to happen sometime.

The combination of highly unworkable weather, being in a house with a group of people, and being ‘on holiday’…well, it did me in.

So – I am just going to pretend the last few days didn’t happen, and have added an extra few days onto my target end date. That is why I’m calling this day 274, when it isn’t really.

But, no-one said I couldn’t make up the rules as I went along.

The good news is, this morning I woke up in my own bed, it was a positively barmy 10 degrees centigrade, there was no ice on the ground and it wasn’t raining or snowing. So, I got myself into my jogging gear and out to the park.

I am down to the last three months of this experiment, and I am determined to put in an extra burst of effort and enthusiasm for the remainder. I want to know that I have given it my best shot, and be really proud of what I have achieved.

The weather will no doubt still be a challenge, but its getting lighter in the mornings, and there’s something about falling off the wagon which makes you climb back on with more vigour.

Wish me luck!

Day 273 – Week 40 – 40 mins (5)

If you were hoping to see some improvement, I don’t have much to offer.

I managed five minutes of strengthening, but that was it.

I am SOOO going to make up for this when I get home and gear myself up for the final run to the end of the campaign.

This is exactly what is NOT supposed to happen as part of this experiment, but I have lost the will to fight it.

Day 272 -Week 40 – 40 mins (1)

I am having to accept that this week is not going to be one of my best.

Picture the scene. I am in an old house with a group of friends.

If I was to exercise inside, the whole house would rock and creak to my every move – and these people have come here for some peace and quiet.

If I was to exercise outside I would either be sodden with rain, or slipping on the ice and snow.

I can but pray for the weather to improve.
