Day 167 – Week 24 – 24 mins
It was surprisingly easy to get up this morning and go for my run, despite it being a Sunday. It was a beautiful day – one to be treasured with winter on its way – and it was great being out in it. It won’t be long before the dark mornings will be making the bosu the primary option for cardio right throughout the winter.
The last few days I have felt a little bit stronger, but still not seeing any change on the scales. If anything I have put on a kilo or two, which is less than encouraging.
BUT – we’re not even halfway through this experiment yet, so there’s still hope ahead.

Day 166 – Week 24 – 24 mins
I seem to be making improvements in the touching the toes department.
That’s not to say I can actually touch my toes yet, but I am inching closer – or should that be millimetring closer. Do other people find this really hard? Do other people feel as if the back of their calf muscles are screaming in pain when they do this? Or is that just me? Personally – I think it’s just that my legs are too long for the rest of my body, that’s what the problem must be. It’s got to be a whole lot easier if you have shorter legs, right?
Anyway – did my 24 minutes without having to talk myself into it too much. It really is so much better when you stop thinking about it, and just get on and do it. I think we might be getting the last of the good weather here in London – better get myself outside for a run tomorrow…

Day 165 – Week 24 – 24 mins
Now today was a great example of how you can combine exercise with a far more indulgent lifestyle.
This morning our cleaning lady was coming – and because our flat is so small (I know, you’re thinking, if her flat is so small, how come she needs a cleaning lady? – but hey, I said this was about being indulgent!) we need to make ourselves scarce, so she can get on and do her thing.
So – off we trotted to the high street for an early morning cuppa, armed with laptops to keep ourselves busy for a couple of hours. And in a fit of foresight I decided to wear my jogging gear for the outing, so that after sitting around with the morning coffee set, I could leave the laptop with the boyfriend and jog myself home afterwards. It was a perfect arrangement. I got my exercise out of the way, and I came home to a gleaming flat. What can be better than that?

Day 164 – Week 24 – 24 mins
I actually enjoyed my workout this morning. I have decided to relieve my boredom by using the exercise time, as a time to rediscover all the music on my ipod I haven’t listened to properly.
So – this morning as I strengthened and stretched – I listened to Laura Marling nice and loudly, and tried to really concentrate on what I was doing instead of rushing through it.
And that seemed to do the trick….let’s see if it works as I do cardio tomorrow. I might need something a little more jazzy…

Day 163 – Week 24 – 24 mins
Today I decided to take the opportunity of a lunch break at work to go for my run today – and I was glad I did. It’s always great to get out of the office, and the nice cool weather made it a lot easier than on previous runs.
And do I feel at all embarrassed as I run past little enclaves of smokers standing around outside just where I need to run? Not at all – I feel virtuous and holy as I embrace my inner healthiness and hide my laboured breath!!
Run Lola Run….
