Day 153 – Week 22 – 22 mins (2)
Mmmm….woke up with a rather sore head, after a night out on the wine in the trendy Kreuzberg part of Berlin. And more of a problem – no painkillers, and no idea where to buy any in this part of town on a Sunday, where all the shops are shut.
So, after a good glug of water failed to do the job, I managed only about two minutes of jigging about in the living room, before going out in search of pain relief. Once outside, I realised I wouldn’t have been able to go to my little park for a jog anyway, as it had been taken over by a lively flea market for the day.
I did though, after finding a chemist, hit the road again. And despite the rain, did more Berlin walking, interspersed with a little sit down in a couple of the city’s museums…

Day 152 – Week 22 – 22 mins
Saturday today – and a joy to have a sleep in and then get on with my strength and stretching – all 22 minutes of it, without worrying about having to get out of the flat quickly.
And then I walked, and walked, and walked around Berlin. Definitely did my fair share of exercise today!

Day 151 – Week 22 – 22 mins
MUCH better this morning. Got myself outside to do my full 22 minute cardio workout. There’s not really any kind of substantial park around here, just a very small suburban one – but it had a ledge that I could use as a step to get my heart rate up, and I had a little bit of a jog.
I am looking forward to it being Saturday tomorrow. I won’t be working and will have the chance to do some proper exploring of this great city. Expect some tired and weary feet tomorrow…

Day 150 – Week 22 – 22 mins (1)
Ok – rubbish day today. I got called into work much earlier than expected, so had no chance to do more than one quick minute of jigging about before heading to the office. I then worked a 13 hour day, got back home and collapsed into bed – but not before walking up my four flights of stairs, which got that heart rate up for a minute or so!

Day 149 – Week 22 – 22 mins
Much better this morning! Did a full 22 minutes of strength and stretching, and even had time to do the dishes and make the bed before heading out into the current confusion of the Berlin transport system.
I now have the full story about the trains – which is that the train company apparently decided to hold off on a load of maintenance, as they were about to float the company and wanted to make the books look good. But then the safety gurus discovered this little tactic and 75 percent of the trains have now been taken out of service to fix some possible fault with the brakes! Or something like that anyway. All I know is that every time I try to go somewhere, there is no train for it! I mean this really isn’t fair – whoever head of coming to Germany to find the trains not working on time!
Anyway – I have to keep up the good work and do my full blast of cardio tomorrow, which means getting up, going down my floor flights of stairs and going to a tiny little park down the block. I may have to run around it several times to do my 22 minutes – it really IS a little park.
