Day 199 – Week 29 – 29 mins
Weirdly, these days, I seem to be looking forward to my cardio days rather than my strength days. I’m not sure what’s happened. Back in the day, I much preferred that at least on strength days I got to lie on the floor for some of the time, where as jogging meant getting all sweaty and puffy…
But today, the thought of going for a little jaunt through my park was something that actually gladdened my spirit. Perhaps it is just knowing that soon it is going to be too dark, wet and miserable to get outside, and for several months it’s going to be me, the floor and the bosu – and that’s it. I should enjoy the autumn leaves while I can.
Today – 29 minutes done and dusted…

Day 197 – Week 29 – 29 mins
I left it very late to go for my run today – it was about four o’clock before I got out the door. And shock, horror! It felt like it was getting dark!!
With the clocks going back at the weekend, and my first day of being outside at that time, I had completely forgotten that it would start getting dark so early. The weather is so nice and warm I have been in denial that winter is almost here. It really means I am going to have to start making sure I get out earlier for those jogs.
I, of course, felt all healthy and virtuous after my run, but the trouble with doing it so late in the day, is that you get fewer hours of feeling healthy and virtuous before it’s the next day and you have to do it all again!

Day 195 – Week 28 – 28 mins
Who hoo! A full 28 minutes today.
Actually, I never really have a problem doing the full amount when it’s a day when I can go for a jog. That surprises me, because in general, the idea of jogging is not something I am particularly attracted to.
BUT, at least once I’m out there, I do the full amount. I guess once you’ve run a certain distance from home, there’s not much you can do except run back. It’s not as if I’m going to get the bus home.
So, I’d like to say I’m back on track, but I doubt that is the case. I am though, quite proud of that fact I haven’t drifted too far off the path…

Day 189 – Week 28 – 28 mins
A full 28 minutes out in the park today.
I’m getting to the stage where I’m slightly dreading adding the extra minute each week because I am, at heart, someone who is quite frankly terrified of doing that much exercise.
But the beauty of a system where you add such a small amount, is that when you brain says “Oh no, I couldn’t possibly do 28 mins of exercise all in a row”, it is then forced to think, “but you managed 27 minutes yesterday, surely you can stretch that little bit further”. And then it has to concede defeat and say “Oh well – I suppose I could give it a try”, and there you have it. 28 minutes is done.

Day 183 – Week 27 – 27 mins
It was a glorious Autumn day today, as I hit the road during my lunch break to do the jogging thing.
I made my way down the river trying to savour the weather, which surely cannot hold out too much longer, enjoying exercising in the cooler conditions.
Hey – I just noticed I have passed halfway. Now – I may need to pour myself a glass of Ribena to celebrate!
