Day 232 – Week 34 – 34 mins (1)
Aaagh! How frustrating!
I had such great plans this morning. T’internet told me the skies would be clear, though cold. Cold! I’m fearless in the cold, I said. I’ll take on that cold and go for a run – just as soon as it gets light, I said.
And so I waited for it to get light, pottering about on the laptop…waiting, waiting. And just as it was light enough to consider going outside, there was a text on my phone. I needed to get into work as soon as possible. No time for jogging, just getting in the shower and on that train to the other side of the city quicksticks!
I couldn’t believe it! The one fine day of the week!
So instead, I came home late, with a headache and grumpy, and did one minute. Pathetic I know – but I REALLLLY don’t like it when my plans are foiled like that…

Day 227 – Week 33 – 33 mins
It was a clear day this morning, so I thought I’d best take advantage of it, even though it means I will have been for a jog two days in a row.
I’m not sure I’ve actually used “have been for a jog two days in a row” in a sentence before, let alone actually done it!
I know it’s probably not what you are supposed to do – but I knew it could be a week before I get outside again, so I wasn’t going to waste it. It was a beautiful crisp winter morning and it was terrific to be out in it.
33 minutes done and dusted for today – yay!

Day 213 – Week 31 – 31 mins
I really resisted going for a run today, but when I did, it was worth it.
It was a stunning autumn day – cold and crisp.
Remember, it is always worth it to get out there and give your body the attention it deserves – whatever it is screaming at you before you do it. It will thank you in the end!

Day 205 – Week 30 – 30 mins
Another early morning run today. I’m really getting the hang of this now.
But I discovered something about my running today.
It is much better to run with your head up!! You know, I hadn’t realised that when I run, I am generally looking at my feet. What a crazy thing to do? There I am, running through these lovely gardens, and what am I doing? Just looking to make sure one foot goes in front of the other – instead of looking up to enjoy the gorgeous autumn scenery.
So – have made a promise to myself to try and look to the heavens rather than the earth a bit more when I run from now on.

Day 201 – Week 29 – 29 mins
Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. You remember how I was on a non-drinking spree? Well, last night I came off it. I may have been a day or two short of my 30 days, but I decided it was time to get back to normal. And so I had a glass of wine or two….
And how quickly your body forgets how to process that alcohol. I didn’t have the great joy of being deliciously drunk after a glass or two, but I did have a splitting headache at five in the morning. Verdict? Don’t give up drinking, the shock when you return is just too much.
So – once the painkillers had done their job, I did manage to get outside for a jog, and while I can tick off the 29 minutes, my body certainly found it a little more labour intensive than usual. And now, I’m just tired and sleepy…
