Day 264 – Week 38 – 38 mins
Another gorgeous but chilly day, and this time we did make it to the lovely Kew Gardens.
And while my fella warmed up by visiting the ‘Temperate House’ – the largest surviving Victorian glass house in the world, filled with subtropical plants and such things – I warmed up by running around outside the building.
So this week has indeed been much of an improvement on the previous ones. 179 minutes for the week, at an average of 25.57 a day. Compare this to 116 minutes (16.57 mins a day) the week before. Am pretty happy with that…
But back to work tomorrow after a week off….

Day 244 – Week 36 – 36 mins (38)
Ok – tried a new tactic today, which actually resulted in me unwittingly doing MORE minutes than I was supposed to. That’s the first time that’s happened!
So here it is…
When going for a run in the park, take your boyfriend with you!
We both had the day off today, so I convinced him to come to the park with me. And while he wasn’t interested in running, he went for a nice stroll, while I ran away for a couple of minutes, then ran back, then away again, back again etc.
And the upshot was – I got so distracted by all the tooing and frooing I lost track of time and before I knew it, I’d done more than I should have. Result!
Now – I just have to convince him to come with me early in the mornings before work!

Day 242 – Week 35 – 35 mins
Oooh it was tough this morning, but I knew that if I didn’t get out early, there was no chance of me getting any exercise done at all.
So, despite the threatening rain, I gave it a go, and managed my 35 minutes.
The rest of the day was spent cooking Christmas dinner for eight, and entertaining until 3.00 in the morning. Like I said – if I didn’t do it early – there was no chance.

Day 237 – Week 34 – 34 mins
I snuck out in between the rain clouds for a run in the park this morning. It was good to get outside, but even better to crawl back into bed after a shower and a cup of tea. There’s no way I can get up early on a Sunday and stay up!
So – adding up the minutes for this week, I come to 182 minutes, an average of 26 minutes per day. I don’t think that’s too bad at all! I beat last week’s total by 37 minutes. In fact, that is a bit TOO good for my liking. Very unlikely to do that well next week – given there’s a few Christmas parties to attend…
We shall see!

Day 235 – Week 34 – 34 mins
Aha! Today, I woke up, and it was not raining. There was not a cloud in the sky – it was beautiful, crisp and clear. A perfect day for a run!
But wouldn’t you know it – it was also the day after the night before. A late night at the pub and a few gin and tonics.
The ONLY thing that got me up and out of bed for that run was knowing how rare these crisp lovely mornings are at the moment.
So, while it was hard work, I did my full 34 minutes and was damn proud of myself afterwards!
