Day 232 – Week 34 – 34 mins (1)
Aaagh! How frustrating!
I had such great plans this morning. T’internet told me the skies would be clear, though cold. Cold! I’m fearless in the cold, I said. I’ll take on that cold and go for a run – just as soon as it gets light, I said.
And so I waited for it to get light, pottering about on the laptop…waiting, waiting. And just as it was light enough to consider going outside, there was a text on my phone. I needed to get into work as soon as possible. No time for jogging, just getting in the shower and on that train to the other side of the city quicksticks!
I couldn’t believe it! The one fine day of the week!
So instead, I came home late, with a headache and grumpy, and did one minute. Pathetic I know – but I REALLLLY don’t like it when my plans are foiled like that…

Day 222 – Week 32 – 32 mins
Well – just as the week is coming to a close – I finally manage a full 32 minutes of cardio.
How was it?
Sweaty.
See – this is why I don’t like exercise. Even on a wintry day, if you jig about for 30 odd minutes, you get very hot and sweaty. And I’d rather not!
It’s not so bad running about in the park, but in the living room, it starts to feel like a sauna. I may have been the only person in London today who felt compelled to open the door and let in the cold wind, but it was a blessed relief.
Now, I just have to hope it stops raining sometime soon, because I’d much rather be outside to get my heart rate up.

Day 219 – Week 32 – 32 mins (5)
Well – we seem to be experiencing a serious dip and lack of motivation here, as I again only managed five minutes of exercise.
But this is the truth of it. Unless you are some gold medallist machine type, I’m not sure it is possible to keep 100 percent motivated ALL of the time, day in, day out, every single day of the year.
What I do know – is that despite my many under performing days – I have definitely been more active in the last 219 days than I have at any time in my life since I was 18 years old. This should not be underestimated, even though it falls short of what I would love to be achieving.
And every night I can believe that I will be back on track the next morning!

Day 217 – Week 32 – 32 mins (27)
I managed a slightly better effort on the bosu this morning than last time, though am not quite up to my full quota yet. I really need to investigate what other exercises I can do on there – as I get a bit bored with the few I have come up with.
Really I just try to get my heart rate up to the required level, and just jig about once I’m there…trying to keep myself interested….
Tomorrow looks like it may be the only day of the week with clear skies, so I may try and get out for a run, even though it is supposed to be a strength and stretch day.

Day 216 – Week 31 – 31 mins
I am quite proud of myself this weekend.
Between my day 215 exercise session and today’s exercise session, I have taken part in no less than four social events. This is unheard of for me, who generally spends my weekends at home pottering about on the computer.
I have:
1) met some friends from Australia for a drink in a pub on their lightning quick visit to London
2) Gone on from there to a dinner party on the other side of London (then stayed the night)
3) Visited some friends for coffee in the morning
4) Attended the premiere of a short film in the afternoon
And THEN I managed to come home and do some exercise, which of course was needed after the higher than usual alcohol content and a couple of pieces of Christmas cake at the premiere.
So that’s me now exhausted and ready for bed! Got to get my energy back before moving on to 32 mins tomorrow,
Suzi
