Day 246 – Week 36 – 36 mins (1)

OK -  I blame it on the snow! Why note? Everyone else in England does. Because of the snow the trains don’t run, the roads don’t function, the internet doesn’t work….

All right. It didn’t actually snow this morning until about 1100 am, but the threat of snow was certainly enough to stop me going out for a run this morning, believe me! The threat of snow was even enough to stop me getting out of bed…

Hence, only time for one minute on the bosu.

I am going to have to have a strict talking to myself  before tomorrow morning I feel…

Day 238 – Week 35 – 35 mins

Monday morning – started the work in fine form with a full 35 mins of strength and stretching. Figure I have to start well, given the three Christmas parties I have this week!

We really are heading into the toughest time of the year now – Christmas parties, cold, dark, too much food and alcohol and out of the usual routine – it’s a recipe for disaster. So – let’s be clear – we are just looking at survival. We are just trying to get through it in one piece, without losing the plot completely – so ANY minutes done during this period should be celebrated.

Come January, the post-Christmas bloat should be enough to encourage getting back into a proper routine…

Day 234 – Week 34 – 34 mins

Yay – managed my full 34 minutes of strength and stretching. Deed is done. I  carry on….

Day 230 – Week 33 – 33 mins

33 minutes in the can today, to finish off the week in fine form.

I am starting something new, and on Sundays adding up the total number of minutes for the week, in the hope that I will see at least some kind of increase from week to week.

And by my reckoning it’s 145 minutes this week, averaging out at 20.71 minutes a day.

That’s not too bad. I’m pretty proud of that….

Day 229 – Week 33 – 33 mins (1)

Today is one of those days when I’m so glad I made the rule that as long as I do at least one minute of exercise, then it counts.  Because to be honest there was no chance I’d be doing more than one minute today.

Having gone to bed late after too many glasses of red wine, I was generally knackered today, and the thought of sending blood racing through my body at anything other than a slow crawl was enough to make me just want to curl up on the couch with a blanket and the Saturday Guardian.

Some days, you just can’t do it. Fortunately the effect of a slack day is that it has a direct impact on your guilt levels and you do your best to make up for it the next day – she says optimistically!
