Day 257 – Week 37 – 37 mins (25)
Doing the usual Christmas thing, we travelled a couple of hours away from home yesterday to spend the day and night with family, just getting back home around 7.30 tonight.
And despite many hours of eating, drinking and keeping children entertained I managed to get myself on the bosu for a 25 minute session – again, with the help of the magnificent headphones.
Total for the week is 116 minutes (16.57 mins a day). It’s the worst for some time, but I figure it’s a turning point. Christmas week was inevitably going to be the toughest – and the guilt of overindulgence alone should be enough to make an improvement next week.

Day 241 – Week 35 – 35 mins (1)
Ok – it’s the morning after the corporate Christmas party – 3,500 people in a huge marquee, unlimited food and alcohol, music, dancing…..and then the usual trek across London to get home sometime before dawn.
Enough said.
A pathetic one minute on the bosu.

Day 233 – Week 34 – 34 mins (25)
Well – nearly a full compliment of cardio – but not quite. Still no chance to get outside for a run, so was on the bosu again this morning.
And it doesn’t look like any fine weather ahead for the rest of the week….so, I better get used to it,

Day 231 – Week 34 – 34 mins (20)
Ah how I wish I had started this experiment in the winter, and not the spring – then I would have been stuck inside for the small number of minutes, rather than the big number of minutes.
I struggle with having to do 34 full minutes on the bosu, but something like 15 minutes is fine.
Today I managed 20.
It is still raining….no getting outside possible. Or do people run in the rain? I don’t know if that’s one of those silly things to do, or if it is perfectly healthy and sensible.
Having said all this – I think there’s a slim possibility it won’t be raining tomorrow morning, in which case, I’ll be out there with bells on. (It’s nearly Christmas after all!)
Going to join me?

Day 222 – Week 32 – 32 mins
Well – just as the week is coming to a close – I finally manage a full 32 minutes of cardio.
How was it?
Sweaty.
See – this is why I don’t like exercise. Even on a wintry day, if you jig about for 30 odd minutes, you get very hot and sweaty. And I’d rather not!
It’s not so bad running about in the park, but in the living room, it starts to feel like a sauna. I may have been the only person in London today who felt compelled to open the door and let in the cold wind, but it was a blessed relief.
Now, I just have to hope it stops raining sometime soon, because I’d much rather be outside to get my heart rate up.
