Day 269 – Week 39 – 39 mins

Whoohoo…a full 39 minutes of stretching and strengthening this morning.

The weather is still just hovering around zero degrees celsius, and the light snow that falls just melts a bit, freezes again and is compacted by hundreds of pairs of feet walking on it, so it is still treacherous walking anywhere.

Having said that, we are braving the elements and driving to the Lake District tomorrow for a holiday with a group of friends in a cottage. That should be a challenge! How exactly will I manage to exercise when I’m snowed into a house with several people, 17 packs of pringles and a few cases of wine!! Oh! And there’s a hot tub on the deck….

As I have said, I am obviously REALLY trying to test myself…

Day 268 – Week 39 – 39 mins (26)

I thought I better give the bosu another attempt this morning, given that I was so pathetic yesterday.

Better, much better. 26 minutes in all, first thing this morning at 6.00am.

And then, I managed to negotiate with my boss to work from home today, as the London transport system has practically shut down because of the ice on the roads, railroad tracks etc.

Do you think that might have been a reward for actually getting up and doing something this morning?

I have no resolve.

I could blame it on the snow and the ice, my total inability to know how to behave in this weather, the fact that I am actually having one week at work in between two holidays…

But really, it’s because I had no resolve, at least not this morning….
