Day 201 – Week 29 – 29 mins

Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear. You remember how I was on a non-drinking spree? Well, last night I came off it. I may have been a day or two short of my 30 days, but I decided it was time to get back to normal. And so I had a glass of wine or two….

And how quickly your body forgets how to process that alcohol. I didn’t have the great joy of being deliciously drunk after a glass or two, but I did have a splitting headache at five in the morning. Verdict? Don’t give up drinking, the shock when you return is just too much.

So – once the painkillers had done their job, I did manage to get outside for a jog, and while I can tick off the 29 minutes, my body certainly found it a little more labour intensive than usual.  And now, I’m just tired and sleepy…

Day 200 – Week 29 – 29 mins (5)

It was a bit of a non event for day 200 I am afraid. I had to be out of the house at 6.00am, so it was a cursory five minutes with the medicine ball and the resistance band, and that was it. I mean, we have to be realistic here. I am not going to be getting up at 4.30am just to prove I can do this!

Day 199 – Week 29 – 29 mins

Weirdly, these days, I seem to be looking forward to my cardio days rather than my strength days. I’m not sure what’s happened. Back in the day, I much preferred that at least on strength days I got to lie on the floor for some of the time, where as jogging meant getting all sweaty and puffy…

But today, the thought of going for a little jaunt through my park was something that actually gladdened my spirit. Perhaps it is just knowing that soon it is going to be too dark, wet and miserable to get outside, and for several months it’s going to be me, the floor and the bosu – and that’s it. I should enjoy the autumn leaves while I can.

Today – 29 minutes done and dusted…
