Day 99 – Week 15 – 15 mins (7)
Oh dear – this morning wasn’t very successful at all.
I woke up feeling a bit battered and sore. I’m not sure if it was from sleeping on a blow up air mattress, or from the gardening I did before the party on Saturday night, but whatever it was, my body was complaining pretty loudly. So – I figured I better listen to it.
All I could manage on the bosu was my five minute warm up and my two minutes of stretching, and even that was a bit of a struggle. But hopefully it got the blood flowing in places it needed to go….
Things better improve tomorrow. It is day 100, and I’d like to be able to celebrate with a full 15 minute strength session. Here’s to an early night for me and the hope that all will be well….

Day 98 – Week 14 – 14 mins
Today I broke my rule and didn’t exercise first thing after getting up. I know- it’s outrageous!
I had pretty much decided the night before that it wouldn’t happen. We had a party, it finished at one in the morning, the house looked like a bomb had gone through it, and I had four visitors. I knew that the likelihood of me crawling into the daylight out of the cellar, ignoring the state of the kitchen and going for a run was nigh on impossible. I decided that on this occasion, my minutes were going to have to wait until after a clean up and everyone had left – then I could do my strength workout at my leisure.
I have to admit to a glorious feeling of relief on waking up and knowing that I didn’t have to exercise first thing (the first time in 97 days!!) and enjoyed a cup of tea out in the garden with the visitors…we had some breakfast, cleaned up, went for a nice walk, had some lunch and then we waved them off.
Then my fella and I sat down and watched a DVD….
And then it was 6.00pm and I suddenly remembered I had exercise to do! I tell you – I was very close to forgetting all together, and that would of course mean no future slacking off from morning workouts!
But all’s well that ends well, my fourteen minutes were done, and I am collapsing into bed for an early night after what has been a thoroughly enjoyable, but rather exhausting weekend….

Day 97 – Week 14 – 14 mins
Dragged myself out of the cellar and past all the sleeping bodies to go for a jog outside this morning. 12 mins and 2 mins of stretching.
It’s definitely more difficult with a load of people in the house – and once again means explaining why I’m only going out for such a short time. But I guess it doesn’t sound quite as odd to explain that I’m going out for 12 mins as it did when I only went for 3.
Visitors still here tomorrow morning, so will be going for a run again – no room to be doing my push ups and leg raises.

Day 96 – Week 14 – 14 mins
Bosu this morning – very sweaty by the end of my minutes – it’s so humid in London right now, even early in the morning.
But hey, at least you feel as if you have done some work.
Tomorrow morning is going to be an interesting challenge. I have a full house of visitors – Dad, Uncle etc, and have given up my bed, while I sleep down in the cellar (sounds worse than it is!). The thing is, it’s very dark down there, and I have no idea what time I will wake up in the morning. For all I know it could be midday before I emerge without the benefit of sunlight to wake me up! Anyway – despite this, am going to have to do my minutes. And while I should be doing strength work tomorrow, with every square millimetre of the house filled with sleeping bodies, I think the best bet is to get outside and go for a run!

Day 95 – Week 14 – 14 mins
So I seem to be sneaking up on the magic 100 day mark – a milestone, most often mentioned 100 days into someone’s political term. Well - I may not be making my way round the world solving people’s political problems as I go like Barack Obama did in his first 100 days – but you know, I’m doing my own thing, in my own way. I’m sure Mr Obama has no problem motivating himself to get up and do his minutes – but I find it a damn hard challenge – and I’m pretty proud of getting this far.
A strength day today – always my favourite – as I get to lie on the floor for some of it. Lunges are still the worst of it, but what girl can give up an exercise which promises such a pert bottom. Bosu tomorrow…you guys must know this routine better than me by now…
