I’m 38 years old and live in London with a full time job. Like many others, I am full of goals, plans and things I’d like to achieve during this short time we have on the earth. But somehow I never seem to be able to get it all done.
So, instead of rushing around like a blue-arsed fly (as we Australians like to say!!) I’ve decided this time – to take it slowly. Incredibly slowly. Just one minute at a time…….
From April 13, 2009 until April 12, 2010 I am going to concentrate on achieving ONE GRAND GOAL. Exercising everyday. And I’m attacking it like a snail – in the hope that by doing it, just one minute at a time, it will be a habit that is ingrained in me for a lifetime.
They say it takes something like 28 days to establish a habit. Well – I must be a little slower than the rest of the world, because all evidence suggests it takes me quite a bit longer. But hey, I’m hoping 365 days will be enough. If I follow the plan, I should be comfortably exercising for 52 minutes a day by the time the year is up.
