Day 30 – Week 5 – 5 mins

Five minutes of arms with the medicine ball/resistance strap this morning.

I was delighted to discover that the exercises I had set myself with these tools pretty much work out at exactly five minutes, which is as long as I want to spend with them at this stage. They provide a perfect warm up for me – getting the blood moving about, and even my heart rate up slightly, which I guess means they are doing their job.

It means that in future weeks, when I am getting into the main body of the workout, I can move on to other things – like push ups, and abs, and perhaps some weights….and balance exercises. I tell you, my mind is running wild at the possibilities! (Have to admit I am being slightly sarcastic here, or maybe delirious. I don’t usually wax lyrical about exercise. It sounds as if I’m talking about the things I can buy on a New York shopping trip!)

So far – my weight is still hovering around 147 pounds (66.5 kgs). I’m thinking that’s not so bad. I can feel I’m adding on a bit of muscle, and I am told muscle ways more than fat, so be staying around the same weight I must actually be losing a bit of fat. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it…..
